THE FULL GALLERY

Before I left I had no idea what to expect, in fact the purpose of the trip was to attend my friend’s wedding in Kolkata and he suggested to us (I traveled with a group of three other friends) that if we were coming to India we had to see the Taj Mahal and while we were at it, visit Rajasthan too. I will be honest. I had never heard of Rajasthan before and I barely new the city that the Taj Mahal was in - it’s Agra in case you were wondering. The trip as planned was this: Fly into Delhi, drive to Agra to see the Taj Mahal, then Jaipur, Jodphur, Jaisamler and finally Udaipur before flying to Kolkata for the wedding. I cannot tell you how excited I was. I looked over the itinerary several times, researched each city and knew exactly what I wanted to see and buy from each place. I love the idea of moving around while traveling, seeing as much as possible and taking it all in. When I arrived in New Delhi I witnessed something I had never seen before, not like this anyways - people, lots and lots of people. The city has a population of over 20 million. To put things in perspective New York City’s population is about 8.5 million. As you can imagine moving around can be tricky, however the culture, the shopping and the food is hands down one of the most exciting and life changing experiences I’ve ever had. Sometimes things may take a little longer, but I guarantee you will find what you’re looking for and leave a different person. Truly the adventure of a lifetime. I highly recommend staying in India for at least two weeks. I spent a day touring palaces and shopping in each city before moving onto the next and wished I could have stayed an extra day to truly see the sites, shop and create more pictures!
